Registered Nurse Instructor

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Registered Nurse Instructor to join our team at Galaxy Medical College. In this role, the instructor will be responsible for providing classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction to nursing students in accordance with institutional policies, accreditation standards, and applicable state and federal regulations. The instructor will promote student success through effective teaching, evaluation, mentoring, and professional role modeling

Responsibilities

• Prepare lectures, lesson plans, and curriculum development materials, and attend faculty and staff development meetings.
• Instruct students in subject areas by answering questions related to course theory and practical application, including demonstrations of skills required in the trade.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the use and maintenance of tools and equipment, as well as HIPAA compliance requirements.
• Plan and supervise student work, both individually and in small group settings.
• Test and evaluate student achievement in theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
• Maintain accurate student records, including daily attendance and grades, verify student sign-in accuracy, and keep the Associate Director informed of student issues through appropriate reporting procedures.
• Follow established policies and procedures and utilize all required forms and documentation.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with employers and businesses relevant to the field.
• Maintain current knowledge of nursing practices and educational methodologies.

Requirements

• Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
• Must possess strong communication skills.
• Must have 3+ years in teaching.
• Must have current, active, and unrestricted California Registered Nurse license.
• Must have Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Knowledge of current nursing practices, standards of care, and applicable healthcare regulations.
