Registered Nurse - Med Surg

Role: The Registered Nurse (RN) provides safe, effective, and patient-centered care using the nursing process. They evaluate care effectiveness, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, uphold patient rights, and maintain confidentiality, aligning with organizational standards and values.

Responsibilities: Care for a diverse range of patients in a 48-bed Medical Surgical unit, managing acute and chronic conditions such as pneumonia, sepsis, diabetes, and COPD. Handle pre/postoperative care, wound management, and monitor for complications. Collaborate with team members to deliver comprehensive care.

Qualifications: Must have completed nursing education (associate's, diploma, or BSN), hold a current RN license, and maintain BLS certification. Additional certifications like ACLS, PALS, ENPC, or others may be required based on unit needs. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, and perform duties requiring reaching, bending, and kneeling.

Key Skills: Strong clinical knowledge, teamwork, adaptability, and attention to patient safety and confidentiality. Ability to handle varying patient acuity levels and conditions.
