Registered Nurse - MedSurg/Tele

Job description: We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry (MedSurg/Tele) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have strong acute-care experience and be prepared to provide safe, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Position Requirements

• Minimum 12 months of permanent MedSurg/Telemetry RN experience required
• Must have an active Ohio RN license OR an active Compact State RN license in hand
• BLS certification required – must be from American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• ACLS certification required – must be from American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• NIHSS certification required prior to start – candidates must be willing to obtain NIHSS before their start date
• Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, and patient-care skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Must be able to provide appropriate licensure and certification documentation upon request

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to MedSurg/Telemetry patients
• Monitor patients' cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and clinical status
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Perform patient assessments and communicate changes in condition to the healthcare team
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Follow hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care
• Promote patient safety and maintain a high standard of quality nursing care

Required Qualifications

Required:

• RN license: Ohio or Compact State – active and in hand
• 12+ months of permanent MedSurg/Telemetry experience
• AHA or American Red Cross BLS
• AHA or American Red Cross ACLS
• Willingness to obtain NIHSS certification prior to start
