Registered Nurse - NICU

About Our Client

Our client is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join a busy neonatal service in the Townsville region, providing specialist care to neonates requiring intensive and complex support.

The role would suit an experienced NICU RN who is confident working in a high-acuity neonatal environment and enjoys working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team.

Townsville is a tropical coastal city with beaches, The Strand and Magnetic Island nearby. Magnetic Island is only around a 20-minute ferry ride from Townsville, making it easy to enjoy North Queensland on your days off.

What You Will Be Doing

• Providing high-quality nursing care to neonates within a NICU environment.
• Caring for neonates requiring a range of respiratory support.
• Caring for babies requiring neonatal ventilation, Bubble CPAP and high-flow therapy.
• Monitoring and responding to changes in neonatal condition.
• Working collaboratively with medical, nursing and multidisciplinary teams.
• Supporting families and providing safe, patient-centred neonatal care.
• Working across morning and night shifts as required.

What You Will Need

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum 2 years' recent NICU experience preferred.
• Experience with neonatal ventilation, Bubble CPAP and high-flow therapy.
• Ability and willingness to work full-time across all shifts for the duration of the contract.
• Strong communication and clinical assessment skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
