Registered Nurse (RN)

Full-time RN Needed for Oral Surgery Practice

We are searching for a full-time experienced nurse to join our thriving Oral Surgery Practice in Plano.

The nurse is responsible for carrying out responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws. Experience with conscious sedation for outpatient specialty surgery center treating both pediatric and adult patients is preferred. Current BLS/ACLS/PALS required. Basic Qualifications/Requirements Include:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of professional nursing
• Current Texas RN license or Compact RN license
• OR/PACU/ICU experience preferred
• Ambulatory Surgery Center experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal/communication skills to work effectively with staff, physicians, patients, visitors, and external contacts
• Strong leadership skills, flexibility, and adaptability to changing healthcare environment and requirements
• Oral and written communication skills, organizational and interpersonal skills, ability to work with all members of the health care team to achieve positive outcomes
• Must be proficient with word processing applications, spreadsheet programs, database applications, and use of web-based technology to find resource information

Job Functions/Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting pre-operative assessment, medications, and consents
• Intra-operative medication administration, monitoring, and documentation
• Post-operative recovery and follow-up
• Monitors operational care activities to include physician rounds, patient care conferences
• Provides input to operational budget development, manages budget for areas of responsibility; completes special projects and performs other assigned duties
