Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

St. Joseph Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) to provide safe, patient-centered nursing care in a hospital setting. The successful candidate will assess patients, coordinate treatment plans, administer medications, and work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to support positive patient outcomes.

This position is suited to a licensed nursing professional who values teamwork, accurate documentation, clear communication, and high standards of clinical care.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ conditions and monitor vital signs and clinical changes.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately.
• Communicate significant changes in patient condition to physicians and the appropriate clinical team.
• Educate patients and families about treatment, medication, recovery, and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals.
• Follow infection prevention procedures and established patient-safety standards.
• Respond appropriately to urgent clinical situations within the scope of nursing practice.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with hospital policies and applicable regulations.

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or eligibility to obtain one.
• Nursing degree from an accredited nursing program.
• Current BLS certification; additional certifications may be required for certain departments.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and patient-care abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.
• Previous hospital or clinical experience preferred; requirements may vary by specialty.
• Willingness to work assigned shifts, including nights, weekends, or holidays when scheduled.

Pay: $33.65 - $42.44 per hour
