Hi! I’m Lea Askren, the HR & Recruiting Coordinator at Assisting Hands Home Care of Marlborough. We’re looking for an experienced RN who enjoys working with seniors, sharing their knowledge, and being someone our caregivers and families can turn to.

A nursing role with room for your life

This position focuses on clinical guidance, caregiver education, and supporting safe care at home. You’ll work closely with our local office team, helping caregivers feel confident and families feel supported.

We typically anticipate 8–16 hours per week, with scheduling based on client needs and your availability. It’s a low-hour position to start, with opportunities for additional hours as needs grow.

How you’ll make a difference

Your responsibilities may include:

• Training and evaluating caregivers on Activities of Daily Living (ADL) skills
• Providing guidance and support to HHAs and CNAs
• Reviewing and monitoring client care plans
• Providing clinical oversight and answering care-related questions
• Helping caregivers feel prepared and confident in the field
• Monitoring client needs and communicating changes appropriately
• Participating in client or facility visits when needed
• Serving as a clinical resource for clients, families, caregivers, and our office team
• Supporting safe, respectful, high-quality care at home

A little about you

You’re an experienced RN who is approachable, compassionate, and comfortable working independently. You enjoy teaching, communicate clearly, and care about helping seniors remain safe and independent at home.

You’ll need:

• An active Massachusetts RN license in good standing
• Experience with seniors, geriatric clients, home care, VNA, or a related setting
• Strong communication and teaching skills
• The ability to work independently
• Reliable transportation for occasional client and facility visits

We’d especially love to hear about your experience with caregiver training, care plans, clinical oversight, senior-care education or presentations, and working with families in the community. Experience with hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, assisted living communities, physicians, or other senior-care settings is also welcome!

Hours depend on client needs and your availability. There is no guaranteed minimum number of hours, and weekly hours may vary. This role includes in-person work and occasional client or facility visits.
