Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview
We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Ophthalmic Ambulatory Surgery Center two days per week. Under the direction of the Clinical Manager, the Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients inside the Perioperative, OR, and Post Operative areas. This role requires strong clinical skills, a strong commitment to patient care and safety, and the ability to work efficiently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for surgery by conducting perioperative assessments, verifying medical histories, and ensuring patient readiness.
• Implement infection control protocols to ensure patient safety.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate in the position and prep of the patient.
• Assist the surgical team during procedures, ensuring all neccessary equipment and supplies are available.
• Competency with IV access.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Participate in ongoing training and in-services.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested by Clinical Manager.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts RN licensure,
• Current BLS certification
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire
• Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in partnership with physicians and other clinicians
• Experience in the perioperative setting is preferred but not required

Pay: $38.00 - $40.00 per hour
