Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse for a per diem opportunity in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU)I. The successful candidate will provide specialized nursing care to critically ill patients, monitor their conditions closely, and collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver safe, effective patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ conditions and monitor vital signs and clinical changes.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patients requiring intensive care and respond promptly to emergencies.
• Operate and monitor relevant critical-care equipment.
• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
• Communicate with physicians, patients, and families regarding care needs.
• Follow infection-control procedures and patient-safety standards.

Requirements

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license appropriate for the work location.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent ICU experience within the past 2 years.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Recent specialty-specific acute-care experience is required; LTACH and IRF experience alone will not qualify.
• Ability to provide safe, effective care in a critical-care environment.
