Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU Float

Role: Registered Nurse providing patient-centered care in a clinical setting, primarily during night shifts.

Responsibilities Include

• Performing the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using evidence-based practice and critical thinking.
• Delivering individualized, culturally competent care and partnering with patients and families to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Ensuring safe, quality care through effective documentation, interdisciplinary communication, and collaboration.
• Participating in performance improvement activities, research, and evidence-based practice initiatives.
• Supporting resource management, protocol development, and patient care planning across the continuum.
• Mentoring and serving as a preceptor to other nursing staff and students to promote professional growth and a healthy work environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Active RN license (single or multi-state compact).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; BLS instructor or provisional status preferred.
• Knowledge of nursing standards, assessment, treatment techniques, and effective communication skills.
• Ability to react calmly in emergencies, maintain accurate records, and collaborate effectively with healthcare teams.
