Registered Pharmacist

About the role

The Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medications accurately, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing professional pharmaceutical care and counseling to patients. The role ensures safe, effective, and appropriate use of medications while maintaining proper documentation and inventory control.

Key responsibilities

• Review and evaluate prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness.
• Dispense prescription medications and provide clear instructions to patients.
• Counsel patients on proper medication use, dosage, side effects, contraindications, and drug interactions.
• Ensure compliance with regulations set by the Food and Drug Administration and the Professional Regulation Commission.
• Maintain accurate patient records and prescription files.
• Monitor drug inventory, expiration dates, and storage conditions.
• Coordinate with physicians and healthcare providers regarding prescriptions when necessary.
• Supervise pharmacy assistants and other support staff (if applicable).
• Ensure proper handling and documentation of controlled and regulated drugs.
• Participate in health promotion programs and patient education activities.

About you

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS Pharmacy) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD).
• Must be a Registered Pharmacist with a valid license issued by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations and drug interactions.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Passed the Pharmacy Licensure Examination administered by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
• Preferably with at least a year of experience in the same field.
