Registered pharmacist

About the role

The Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medications accurately, providing appropriate patient counseling, and ensuring compliance with legal, professional, and ethical standards. The role includes maintaining inventory, monitoring drug usage, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to promote safe and effective medication therapy.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately dispense prescription medications to patients
• Review and interpret physician orders to ensure appropriateness of prescribed medications
• Provide counseling to patients on proper medication usage, dosage, potential side effects, and drug interactions
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (FDA, DOH, PRC, etc.)
• Maintain proper storage, security, and handling of medicines
• Monitor patient medication therapies and suggest alternatives when necessary
• Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, controlled substances, and inventory
• Manage stock levels and place orders to prevent shortages or overstocking
• Train and supervise pharmacy assistants or support staff
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care

About you

• Licensed Pharmacist with a valid PRC license
• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (or higher)
• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and dosage requirements
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication and counseling skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
• Previous experience in a hospital, clinical, or retail pharmacy is an advantage
