Registered Safety Officer

Chevalier (Construction) Company Limited has actively participated in many development projects in Hong Kong since the 1980s. Those projects include the redevelopment of public housing estates, the Private Sector Participation Scheme for the Hong Kong Housing Authority, construction of school buildings for primary, secondary and tertiary institutes, and a range of commercial, industrial, residential and shopping arcade projects for the private sector.

Responsibilities

• Developing, implementing and monitoring effective health, safety and environmental management systems
• Conducting site inspections and audits to identify and address potential hazards
• Providing training and guidance to site personnel on safe work practices
• Investigating incidents and accidents, and implementing corrective actions
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations
• Preparing reports and documentation to demonstrate regulatory compliance
• Collaborating with project teams to integrate safety considerations into project planning and execution

Requirements

• Degree holder or higher diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or Environmental Management or related discipline
• Registered under F&IU (SO&SS) Regulation with experience in building construction industry is required
• Experience in ASD project is highly preferred
• Holder of First Aid Certificate with strong knowledge of ISO45001 & ISO14001
• Good knowledge of computer application in Microsoft Office, English & Chinese word processing
• Good command of both spoken and written Chinese and English
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
