Registered Social Worker

For over 30 years, Calgary Counselling Centre has been a leader in mental health services in Alberta providing high quality, evidence-based counselling grounded in feedback informed treatment, research and continuous learning. We offer a full continuum of care including individual, couple, family and group counselling, and play an active role in training and mentoring clinicians at the masters and Post Graduate levels. Our well-established programs focused on depression, anxiety, trauma, family violence and youth mental health. We are a hub of innovation and collaboration, working with expert trainers and consultants from around the world to strengthen mental health service delivery and improve outcomes for the communities we serve.

We are looking for a Registered Social Worker with minimum 3 years’ clinical experience to provide both virtual and in-person counselling services. The social worker will also provide supervision to practicum students. Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Practice

· Have experience working with individuals, couples, families, and groups.

· Will have completed training in Trauma Informed Care, Cultural Safety and Diversity Training.

· Be able to tailor counselling to uniquely meet clients’ needs.

· Adept at providing clinical process training seminars.

· Experience with remote and in-person service delivery.

Team Integration

· Work as part of a one team philosophy.

· Foster strong team integration throughout the organization.

Qualifications

· Master’s in social work and in good standing with the Alberta College of Social Workers.

· 3 to 5 years’ clinical practice experience.

· Experience supervising students and/or clinicians preferred.

· Ability to provide service in a language in addition to English is an asset.

· Demonstrated teaching and presentation skills.

· Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative clinical multidisciplinary environment.

· Strong computer skills essential including Microsoft Applications (Work, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Teams.

· Success in this position requires the following competencies: excellent communication and interpersonal skills, focus on results, impact and influence, planning & prioritizing, relationship building, service orientation.

We offer a flexible work environment where staff are welcome to be on-site up to five days per week but are required to be on-site at least three full days per week. Compensation is competitive with the market and Calgary area.

Pay: From $43.60 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
