Registered Staff Nurse

Introduction to AsPaC:

We are a non-profit organization providing a hospice-at-home service to terminally ill patients at no cost. We help with symptom control using medication, loan of equipments, and provide basic counseling. Join us in journeying with them and their loved ones through the most difficult time of their lives.

Job scope:

• Conduct home visits independently to provide palliative care and improve quality of life of terminally ill patients
• Work together with the doctor to dispense required medication for symptom control
• Rotate with colleagues to be on-call for patients who are in urgent need
• Conduct internal and external educational talks as required

Requirements:

• Possess a Diploma in Nursing.
• Registered with the Nursing Board of Malaysia and have a valid Annual Practising License.
• At least 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Competent in nursing procedures, eg: insertion of ryles tube and foleys catheter etc.
• Able to work independently and maintain meticulous documentation of medical records.
• Good communication skills and proficient in English, Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin and other dialects is an advantage.
• Must have a friendly personality and be able to communicate easily with patients.
• Possess a valid driving license and own car.
• Subsidised e-hailing travelling (those without own transport/valid driving license)
• Palliative care experience is an advantage.
• Willing to learn and be part of a team

Training in hospice care will be provided.

Locums/retired nurses with relevant experience will also be considered
