Registered Veterinary Technician

The Veterinary Care Center is seeking an experienced, compassionate Licensed Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our growing team. We are a busy, seven-doctor small animal hospital located in the heart of Hollywood, providing high-quality medicine, surgery, dentistry, urgent care, and emergency services. What You'll Do: As one of our Licensed Veterinary Technicians, you'll play an integral role in patient care throughout the hospital, with a primary focus on surgery and dentistry. You'll work alongside our veterinarians while utilizing your advanced technical skills in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.Responsibilities include:

• Surgical patient preparation and anesthesia monitoring
• Dental prophylaxis, dental radiographs, and assisting with dental procedures
• Venipuncture and IV catheter placement
• Laboratory diagnostics and radiology
• Patient nursing care and treatment administration
• Client education and discharge instructions
• Assisting with urgent care and emergency cases
• Working closely with doctors to provide exceptional patient care

Qualifications

• Current California Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license preferred.
• Candidates who are not currently licensed must be eligible for licensure and successfully obtain their California RVT license withinsix months of hire.
• Minimum of three years of experience in a small animal/companion animal practice.
• Strong anesthesia, dentistry, and surgical nursing skills.
• Excellent communication and client service abilities.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork.

ScheduleThis is a full-time position working an alternative workweek schedule of **four 10-hour shifts (4/10s).**Hospital hours:

• Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM – 9:00 PM
• Saturday & Sunday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Compensation: $30.00–$36.00 per hour, depending on experience.
