Registered Veterinary Technician/Veterinary Assistant

Now hiring for a Full time Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or an experienced Veterinary Assistant. Hospital hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, and Saturdays from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Providing exceptional patient care and customer service
• Obtaining patient history and vitals
• Performing fecal flotations, cytology, and other diagnostic tests
• Performing radiographs
• Venipuncture
• IV catheter placement
• Patient care including maintenance of patient IV fluids, administering medication, and other treatments as required
• Inducing and monitoring anesthesia
• Preparing the Operating Room
• Preparing prescriptions and communicating discharge instructions to clients
• Answering telephone calls on multi-line phone system
• Scheduling appointments and procedures
• Collecting point of service payments
• Cleaning and organizing the hospital
