Regulatory Specialist

Overview:
We are looking for a knowledgeable Regulatory Specialist with a strong background in Food Technology and expertise in food laws, particularly FSSAI International Food regulations, to ensure compliance across all product lines and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with national and international food safety regulations, including USFDA, EU and UK GCC, ANZ FSSAI, ISO, HACCP, and other statutory requirements.
• Review and approve product formulations, labelling, and packaging to meet legal standards.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities for product approvals, certifications, and audits.
• Monitor updates in food regulations and implement necessary changes in processes and documentation.
• Conduct internal audits and provide guidance to cross-functional teams (R&D, Production, QA) on regulatory requirements.
• Prepare regulatory documentation, dossiers, and maintain records for compliance purposes.
• Support product development teams with regulatory inputs during formulation and launch.
• Preparing shipping documents wrt ingredient declarations for products shipped.
• Prepare Consumer complaint responses

Requirements:

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or related field.
• 8 years of experience in regulatory affairs within the food industry.
• Strong knowledge of FSSAI International Food regulations, food laws, labelling standards, and quality compliance.
• Excellent understanding of food safety standards (HACCP, ISO, GMP).
• Strong communication, documentation, and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with international food regulations (FDA, EU, Codex Alimentarius) is a plus.
• Familiarity with audit processes and regulatory submissions.
• Customer facing communication.
