Key Responsibilities:

• Support assigned consumers with routine daily care to promote independence in accordance with their recovery plans.
• Use written instructions and modeling techniques to facilitate the development of independent living skills.
• Familiarize yourself with specific direct care interventions outlined in treatment plans or counseling staff guidance.
• Employ crisis prevention and intervention methods to manage difficult behaviors effectively and safely.
• Engage consumers in assessing their performance of independent living skills, utilizing simple surveys or ADL skills questionnaires to evaluate progress.
• Maintain a safe environment for all consumers during their residence at Bayside Care Center.
• Document care activities and consumer progress accurately and timely.

Skills and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in behavioral health or related fields is a plus.
• Previous experience in a care or support role preferred.
• Knowledge of crisis prevention and intervention techniques.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow written instructions and modeling techniques.
• Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to working with individuals with diverse needs.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and priorities.
