We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Rehabilitation Therapy Technician to join our Breast Cancer Rehabilitation healthcare team. In this vital role, you will support licensed therapists by assisting with patient care, rehabilitation activities, and therapy sessions in an out patient clinical setting. Responsibilities

• Assist licensed therapists with patient intake, completing plan of care, organization and treatment planning to ensure smooth therapy sessions.
• Support patients during therapy exercises and activities using proper techniques.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient exercise, treatment tolerance, and session details while respecting patient confidentiality at all times.
• Aid in the setup and cleanup of therapy equipment and treatment areas to uphold safety and hygiene standards.
• Provide compassionate patient care by monitoring vital signs, ensuring comfort, and addressing patient needs throughout therapy sessions.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to promote understanding of rehabilitation goals and procedures.

Skills

Willingness to learn:

• Physiology, anatomy, exercises and medical terminology relevant to rehabilitation care.
• Therapy practices such as therapeutic exercise, pain management modalities, post surgical procedures, lymphedema management, chemotherapy and radiation effects on a patient's cancer journey.
• Safety procedures and support patient transfer methods in accordance with best practices.
• Appropriate communication skills with a focus on maintaining patient confidentiality and fostering trust.
• Acute care protocols to respond effectively during emergencies, CPR certification preferred.
• On the job training available; Prior experience in rehabilitation or out patient therapy technician roles is highly desirable for success in this position.

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 34.0 per week
