Release Train Engineer

Role Responsibility:

Program Execution

• Facilitate PI (Program Increment) Planning events.
• Coordinate ART ceremonies, including Scrum of Scrums, PO Sync, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt workshops.
• Track program progress and key milestones.
• Ensure delivery commitments are achieved.

Risk & Dependency Management

• Identify and manage cross-team dependencies.
• Escalate and resolve program-level impediments.
• Maintain and track risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies (RAID).

Agile Coaching

• Coach Scrum Masters, Product Managers, and teams on SAFe practices.
• Promote continuous improvement and Agile maturity.
• Drive adherence to Agile principles and ways of working.

Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with Product Management, Architects, Business Owners, and leadership.
• Provide program status updates and executive reporting.
• Facilitate decision-making and alignment across stakeholders.

Metrics & Reporting

• Monitor ART health using key metrics:
  o Predictability Measure
  o Velocity Trends
  o Feature Completion
  o Defect Leakage
  o Team Health
• Prepare PI review and executive dashboards.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe frameworks.
• Program and project management experience.
• Facilitation and conflict resolution skills.
• Risk and dependency management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO), Jira, Power BI, or similar tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) Certification.
• SAFe Practice Consultant (SPC) certification (preferred).
• Experience managing large-scale Agile programs.
• Experience in data, analytics, cloud, or digital transformation initiatives.
