Reliability Engineer

About the role

You will facilitate development of the business/facility maintenance strategy and solve reliability and availability losses through application of reliability technology and tools to enable the plant to meet its business plan and strategy. You will focus on opportunities that over a long-term period or historically have impacted the plant's measured asset capability and opportunities identified as "high-risk" in risk assessments, reliability models and other evaluations. This role requires expanded conceptual and practical knowledge in your job discipline and broadens capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Drive equipment reliability and asset performance to support safe, cost efficiency, and reliable plant operations
• Develop and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to reduce downtime and improve equipment performance
• Create and evaluate effectiveness of Equipment Reliability Strategies based upon Top Opportunity List, Critical Equipment List, and identified plant/business needs
• Analyze equipment and process performance to identify Top Reliability opportunities list to improve reliability, productivity, and operational excellence
• Lead root cause investigations of equipment failures and implement sustainable corrective actions to prevent recurrence
• Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Technical teams to resolve reliability challenges and support business objectives
• Support plant turnarounds, maintenance planning, and reliability improvement initiatives
• Contribute to maintenance budget development, expenditure monitoring, and cost optimization to support effective resource allocation
• Utilize reliability engineering tools and methodologies to drive continuous improvement and asset optimization
• Monitor key reliability metrics and develop strategies to achieve plant reliability and performance goals

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree plus reliability, engineering, mechanical or related experience required
• 0-3 years of experience in Petrochemical industry
• Proficient in spoken and written English, with a TOEIC score of 700 or higher
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Continuous Improvement: Proactive in improving equipment performance, reducing downtime and cost, and promoting safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.
