Reliability Engineer

Reliability Engineer | FIFO Perth | 8:6 Roster
ASAP Start | Contract until end March 2027 with potential for extension
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Reliability Engineer to join a major mining operation, supporting the Ore Processing Facility (OPF) and driving reliability improvement initiatives across critical plant assets.
Working on an 8:6 FIFO roster from Perth, you will play a key role in improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime, increasing throughput, and supporting safe, cost-effective operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical reliability engineering support to the Ore Processing Facility.
• Analyse asset performance, maintenance data and failure trends to identify improvement opportunities.
• Review, develop and optimise maintenance strategies to improve plant reliability and operational efficiency.
• Lead and facilitate targeted Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) activities to eliminate recurring failures and reduce unplanned downtime.
• Develop Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) strategies and integrate findings into Whole of Life Critical Asset Plans.
• Support defect elimination initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure asset management practices align with ISO 55000 Asset Management principles.

About You
To be successful, you will ideally have:

• Degree qualification in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in reliability engineering within mining, minerals processing, heavy industry or manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of reliability methodologies including FMEA, RCM and defect elimination.
• Experience reviewing and developing maintenance strategies for fixed plant assets.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Knowledge of asset management principles and lifecycle planning.
