Reliability Engineer

Senior Trading Infrastructure Engineer / DevOps / SRE — Global Quantitative Trading Firm

BAH Partners is partnering with a leading global quantitative trading firm to hire a Senior Trading Infrastructure Engineer in Sydney.

Working closely with Software Developers and Production Engineers, you will improve the infrastructure supporting live trading systems. The role combines production ownership with engineering projects across automation, deployment and system resilience.

What you will do

• Design, implement and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
• Build automation and internal tools using Python, PowerShell or similar languages.
• Improve monitoring, reliability and performance across production environments.
• Troubleshoot deployment, operating-system and network issues.
• Support Windows/Linux infrastructure and cloud services.
• Strengthen security controls and automate server configuration and hardening.
• Partner with engineering teams to improve software delivery and developer productivity.

What they are looking for

• Strong experience in Infrastructure Engineering, DevOps, SRE or Production Engineering.
• Practical scripting skills and a track record of automating operational processes.
• Good knowledge of Windows and/or Linux.
• Experience with CI/CD, deployment orchestration and version control; GitLab and Octopus Deploy are relevant.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across systems, applications and networking.
• Messaging systems, TCP/IP, multicast and cloud experience would be advantageous.
• Clear communication and the ability to work closely with technical and business teams.
• Willingness to participate in early-morning and out-of-hours support rotations.

Financial-services experience is beneficial but not essential. Strong engineers from other industries are encouraged to apply.
