Reliability Engineer II

Role Overview: The Reliability Engineer II applies technical expertise to enhance process and asset reliability by identifying and eliminating defects. This role involves implementing reliability activities, developing predictive maintenance programs, and collaborating on equipment specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement reliability improvement initiatives and prioritize value creation opportunities.
• Design, develop, and install predictive maintenance technologies in accordance with procedures.
• Review technical aspects of projects and collaborate on equipment reliability standards.
• Identify and eliminate equipment issues to optimize availability.
• Guide maintenance and production teams on reliability processes and critical spares.
• Resolve moderate issues independently and escalate complex problems appropriately.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, mechanical, industrial engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least two years of relevant work experience.
• Strong knowledge of reliability tools and maintenance process management.
• Experience with predictive maintenance technologies and complex testing/analysis.
• Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (e.g., SAP).
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma; certifications preferred.

Additional Information: The position is based in Saint Clair, Michigan, with no relocation assistance. Flexibility in working hours is required, including nights and weekends.
