By balancing long‑term reliability goals with day‑to‑day operational needs, the Reliability Manager ensures full compliance with cGMP, safety, and regulatory standards while supporting consistent production results.
If you’d like, I can also make it more inspirational, more senior/executive‑level, or more people‑focused.
Your responsibilities
- Develop and deliver a structured Reliability and Maintenance strategy with clear KPIs and continuous improvement targets.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained to approved standards for safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance (cGMP).
- Monitor equipment performance (reliability, availability, capability) and lead improvement action plans.
- Lead and continuously improve reliability and maintenance systems, standards, and procedures.
- Ensure consistent maintenance practices across all shifts and departments.
- Manage annual Repair & Maintenance (R&M) budgets within approved limits.
- Identify when specialist or external support is required and ensure cost‑effective delivery.
- Ensure full compliance with company policies, health & safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Promote strong communication and collaboration across all levels of the organization.
- Embed a strong continuous improvement culture within the Reliability team.
- Benchmark performance against best practices and implement improvements.
The experience we're looking for
- 10+ years in an FMCG manufacturing environment (pharma, healthcare, or food preferred).
- 10+ years in engineering leadership or management roles.
- Strong background in maintenance, engineering, and reliability practices. Working knowledge of cGMP, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001.
- Results‑driven and effective in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong problem solver with an innovative mindset.
- Proven problem‑solving skills using structured technical methodologies.
- Resilient, accountable, and able to see initiatives through to completion.
- Organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
