At a glance:

In this role as a Service Technician based in Moorebank, Sydney, you will support one of Australia’s most advanced automated picking solution sites. You will maintain and optimise Vanderlande automated material handling systems, ensuring high system availability, safety, and performance within a dynamic shift-based environment

Shift details

Your Impact:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automated material handling systems
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system faults to minimise downtime
• Respond to system alarms, errors, and operational disruptions in real time
• Monitor system performance and analyse control system data to improve efficiency
• Maintain accurate documentation for maintenance tasks, incidents, and repairs
• Collaborate with onsite teams and remote technical support to optimise equipment performance
• Provide guidance to client staff on correct equipment operation and processes
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, OH&S procedures, and company policies
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability and performance

What makes you a great fit?​

·        A degree, diploma, or certificate in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical field is required.  

·        Strong mechanical and electrical skills, with a deep understanding of FMCG equipment and systems. 

• Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical and electrical systems
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing complex machinery.
• Experience with automated systems or FMCG environments is highly desirable
• Ability to interpret system data and diagnostics for effective problem-solving
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
• Ability to work independently and within a shift-based team environment
