DGS Service Solutions are seeking a proactive and dependable Relief Cleaning Operative to join our dynamic cleaning team, the role will involve assisting on sites in the Derry/Londonderry area to include Richmond Shopping Centre, Millennium Forum, the range etc. In this role, you will provide essential cleaning support across various sites, ensuring that all environments are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create safe, welcoming, and spotless spaces for staff and visitors alike. This position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to work in diverse settings, making a positive impact every day.

The applicant must be flexible and ability to drive would be an advantage.

Duties

• Perform commercial cleaning tasks across multiple locations, including offices, public buildings, and industrial sites.
• Use appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies to thoroughly clean floors, surfaces, restrooms, and communal areas.
• Follow health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
• Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls as needed to maintain hygiene standards.
• Report any maintenance issues or hazards identified during cleaning activities to the supervisor promptly.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism, punctuality, and attention to detail in all assigned tasks.
• Adapt quickly to different site requirements and work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment is advantageous.
• Ability to follow instructions carefully and adhere to health and safety guidelines.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and report issues effectively.
