This exciting dual-role position offers the opportunity to work as both a Control Room Operator and Security Officer, providing variety and valuable operational experience across the estate.

• Guaranteed 24 hours per week
• Guaranteed 12-hour shifts
• Duties will be split between the Control Room and frontline security operations
• The role includes internal and external patrols, with some work undertaken outdoors
• As a relief cover position, shift patterns will vary to support operational requirements
• Applicants must hold both a valid CCTV (Public Space Surveillance) Licence and Door Supervisor (DS) Licence

About the Role:

• Dual officer role (Control Room Operator/Security Officer)
• Delivering excellent customer service
• Good level of concentration and coordinating
• Good communication skills and effective report writing capabilities
• Physical protection of the premises from any external or internal threats and preservation of life
• Prevention of loss of assets, critical technology, sensitive information or reputational damage
• Thorough knowledge of the client to minimise impact to business areas, escalate where appropriate and understanding of critical systems
• Oversee perimeter access through reception for staff, tenants, contractors, and visitors.
• Undertaking patrolling, searching and emergency response procedures.
• Monitor access and egress of personnel and guests and respond to breaches
• Maintain clear and legible records and logbook Adhere to health & safety at all times.
• Any other duties deemed necessary
• Incident management.

About You:

• You hold BOTH a Door Supervisor AND a CCTV license (essential)
• Ability to demonstrate that you can problem solve under pressure
• Ability to multi-task and prioritise daily workload
• Passionate about delivery excellent service

We are looking for an organised, efficient, and experienced security officer with Control Room experience to join our security team for Mitie Business Services. You will be working within a supportive team to maintain security officer duties along side monitoring CCTV, intruder, and fire alarm panels.

Your key responsibilities will include assisting with daily operational requirements - ensuring compliance and accurate recording of incidents to outline identified risks. As part of your role, you will be required to escalate incidents, report Health and Safety concerns, and respond to emergency situations also producing accurate reports to ensure alarms are efficiently responded to.

Our ideal candidate will have awareness of the law across, The Private Security Industry, Health and Safety for the Private Security Operative, Fire Safety, Technology and Systems in the Security environment and Emergency Procedures.
