Relief Emergency Veterinarian

Avets Specialty & Emergency Trauma Center is looking for additional Relief Emergency Veterinarians to join our amazing emergency and critical care team.

Our available shift times are: Day (7am-7pm), Swing (12pm-12am) and Overnight (8pm-8am).

Our 19,000 sq. ft. facility has been purposefully designed with state-of-the-art equipment to assist us in fulfilling our goal of practicing quality medicine and compassionate care for patients, families, and referring veterinarians in our community. Avets has a long-standing focus on emergency, trauma, and critical care. Our Criticalists take the lead in shaping our emergency and critical care departments’ growth and development and are supported by specialists in Internal Medicine, Neurology, and Surgery.

Education is a daily focus at Avets. Our commitment to education is demonstrated by hospital-wide support of our internship and mentorship programs, and a team of VTS(ECC) lead training for our support staff. Additionally, we support personal and professional growth and wellness for our team members. We believe that our progressive approach to medicine and leadership creates an environment where specialists can collaborate openly as a team, allowing us to best serve the needs of our patients and clients daily.

Located in Monroeville, PA, Avets is just a 25-minute drive to the city of Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh and its surrounding areas have a lot to offer anyone considering moving to town. There is easy access to high-quality education for those with families or who are looking to grow theirs. Whether you like to explore historic museums, charming cultural districts, or local restaurants and breweries – you will never be far away from all that our city has to offer. If hiking and spending the day on the river or slopes is more your style, the beautiful Laurel Highlands region offers a wide range of outdoor activities.

We would love to meet you and show you around our city!
