Relief Teacher

• 11 months contract
• commence in Jan 2027
• Mon to Fri: 8.30am to 4.00pm

Responsibilities

• Deliver academic and character development lessons, monitor learning progress and provide feedback on assignments.
• Track attendance and support learners’ socio-emotional and behavioural needs with relevant support staff.
• Prepare teaching materials, learning venues and resources.
• Set and mark examination papers, invigilate assessments and process results.
• Supervise learning activities, including laboratory sessions and learners requiring additional support.
• Maintain learner records, prepare reports and testimonials, and process learning requests and examination registrations.
• Engage parents or guardians and attend professional development activities.
• Support resource stocktakes, post-examination activities, relief teaching and other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma or Degree in Education or a relevant discipline.
• Prior teaching, tutoring or youth engagement experience preferred.
• Able to deliver lessons, assess learning progress and manage classroom behaviour.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to engage learners, parents or guardians, and support staff.
• Patient and adaptable, with the ability to support learners with diverse learning and behavioural needs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using digital teaching tools.
• Organised and meticulous in maintaining records and handling administrative duties.
