What they need
Build Something You're Proud Of
We're looking for a skilled, dependable Remodeler / Excavation Technician with experience in both residential remodeling and excavation or dirt work. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a variety of hands-on projects, can operate excavation equipment, and has the carpentry skills to help transform homes from the ground up.
Our projects range from excavation, drainage, grading, and site preparation to interior and exterior residential remodeling. We're looking for someone who is comfortable working outdoors with heavy equipment and getting their hands dirty, but who can also step into a remodel and deliver quality carpentry and finish work.
If you're a well-rounded construction professional who takes pride in craftsmanship, works well independently, and enjoys being part of a team that values integrity, quality, and customer satisfaction, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
You'll play an important role in completing a variety of residential construction projects, including:
Excavation & Dirt Work
- Operate excavators and other construction equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform excavation, grading, trenching, drainage, and site preparation.
- Assist with digging, backfilling, compaction, and general site development.
- Read site plans and follow project specifications.
- Identify potential site issues and communicate concerns to the team.
- Maintain and care for company equipment, tools, and vehicles.
Residential Remodeling & Carpentry
- Perform interior and exterior residential remodeling.
- Complete carpentry, framing, trim, and finish work.
- Install cabinets, millwork, flooring, tile, drywall, and other finish materials.
- Assist with basic plumbing and electrical tasks when appropriate.
- Read blueprints, follow project plans, and maintain company quality standards.
- Work alongside subcontractors and other trades to keep projects moving efficiently.
Teamwork & Job Site Responsibilities
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites.
- Load, unload, and transport tools, equipment, and building materials.
- Pick up materials and supplies as needed.
- Communicate daily progress and project updates with the office.
- Build positive, professional relationships with homeowners and clients.
- Follow applicable safety and environmental regulations, including EPA requirements.
- Accurately track timecards, mileage, and job-related information.
- Help team members, share knowledge, and take initiative to solve problems.
What We're Looking For
We're especially interested in candidates who bring experience in both excavation and residential remodeling.
Preferred experience includes:
- Operating excavators and other dirt-moving equipment.
- Excavation, grading, trenching, drainage, and site preparation.
- Residential carpentry, framing, and general remodeling.
- Cabinet, trim, and millwork installation.
- Flooring, tile, drywall, and finish work.
- Interior and exterior painting.
- Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge.
- Reading blueprints, plans, and project specifications.
- Safely operating and maintaining tools, vehicles, and equipment.
We're looking for someone who can contribute in both areas of the business, adapt to changing project needs, and take pride in producing quality work. Candidates don't need to be experts in every listed skill, but experience in both dirt work and remodeling is strongly preferred.
The Kind of Person Who Thrives Here
Our ideal team member is:
- Dependable, punctual, and hardworking.
- Skilled with their hands and comfortable operating equipment.
- Adaptable and willing to move between outdoor excavation and indoor remodeling projects.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently when needed.
- Detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to quality workmanship.
- Professional and respectful when working around homeowners and clients.
- A strong communicator who works well with the office and field team.
- Safety-conscious and responsible with company tools, vehicles, and equipment.
- Willing to learn new skills and help other team members succeed.
- Flexible enough to occasionally work late or, rarely, on weekends to meet project deadlines.
What We Offer
- Competitive pay: $20.00–$35.00 per hour, depending on experience.
- Full-time employment.
- A variety of excavation, drainage, carpentry, and residential remodeling projects.
- Opportunities to expand your skills and grow with the company.
- A supportive team that values quality craftsmanship and doing the job right.
- The opportunity to take ownership of your work and see projects through from start to finish.
Why Join Our Team?
We believe good people and quality workmanship are the foundation of a successful business. Our team takes pride in solving problems, doing honest work, and delivering results our customers can feel good about.
This isn't a position where you'll be doing the same task every day. You'll have the opportunity to use your excavation skills, apply your carpentry experience, learn new techniques, and contribute to a wide range of residential projects.
If you're a versatile construction professional who enjoys both operating equipment and building or improving homes, we want someone like you on our team.
Apply today and bring your skills to a team that values hard work, craftsmanship, and integrity.
