Remodeling Carpenter

Blue Terra Design is a small, agile design to build and remodeling company in Madison. Our projects range from kitchen and bath remodels to custom furniture and light commercial work. We’re looking for an experienced, self-motivated carpenter who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, enjoys creative problem-solving, and works well with a team. Approved professional training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Cabinet installation and finish carpentry
• Install built-ins and custom furniture
• Read and interpret construction plans
• Perform demolition, general labor, and framing
• Prepare projects for subcontractors
• Collaborate with the project manager throughout each project

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, remodeling, and finish carpentry
• Proficiency with hand and power tools
• Own tool belt and hand tools; other tools provided
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn
• Professional attitude and ability to work well with others
• Clean driving record and reliable transportation to job sites
• Ability to lift 80 lbs.

Framing and cabinet-building experience are a plus.

Starting pay is based on experience, with regular increases based on performance. Benefits include:
