Remote Customer Service Representative

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures, including dermatology, internal medicine, geriatrics, and hospital medicine specialties.
• Take and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, temperature, and oxygen saturation levels.
• Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining medical histories and performing intake assessments.
• Perform basic laboratory tasks such as phlebotomy (blood draws), specimen collection, and processing.
• Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring accurate documentation of patient encounters, medical histories, medication lists, and ICD coding for diagnoses.
• Support medication administration under supervision and assist with patient education on pharmacology and treatment plans.
• Maintain medical records meticulously, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and hospital standards.
• Provide excellent patient service by addressing questions, coordinating appointments, and facilitating smooth patient flow within the clinic or hospital setting.
• Support medical office management tasks such as scheduling, inventory management of supplies, and administrative documentation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in urgent care, inpatient units, or outpatient clinics to optimize patient care delivery.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a customer care service in diverse settings such as dermatology clinics, hospital medicine units, urgent care centers, or internal medicine practices.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, ICD coding, and medical assisting procedures.
• Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR/EHR systems) and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) management tools.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR is required to ensure readiness for emergency situations.
• Hands-on experience with phlebotomy techniques and medication administration is highly desirable.
• Inpatient experience or OR experience is a plus for roles involving surgical or hospital-based procedures.
• Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations including geriatrics and internal medicine patients.
• Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments such as hospital units or urgent care settings while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills for managing medical documentation and records accurately.

Pay: $24.60 - $29.63 per hour
