Job Title: Remote Laravel Developer Intern

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Laravel Developer Intern with a solid technical background to join our engineering team. In this role, you will work closely with senior developers to build, maintain, and test web applications using PHP and the Laravel framework. If you have a strong foundation in computer science and want hands-on experience building full-stack web applications, this position is for you.
Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing web application features and RESTful APIs using PHP and Laravel.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following Laravel best practices.
• Work with Blade templates, HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript to build responsive UI components.
• Participate in database design, migrations, Eloquent ORM queries, and seeders.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and fix software defects in existing codebases.
• Collaborate in code reviews, daily stand-ups, and sprint planning.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Technical Background: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Core Skills: Basic understanding of PHP OOP, standard web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), and relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
• Framework Fundamentals: Basic knowledge of Laravel concepts (MVC architecture, routing, middleware, controllers, and Eloquent).
• Schedule Availability: Able to work strictly during the 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM shift.
• Version Control: Familiarity with Git and GitHub/GitLab workflows.

Bonus Points

• Knowledge of Laravel ecosystem tools (e.g., Livewire, Alpine.js, Tailwind CSS, or Vue.js).
• Basic graphic design skills or familiarity with UI design tools like Figma.
• Personal projects or a GitHub portfolio featuring PHP/Laravel code.
