Remote Freelance Interpreters

CanTalk Canada Inc., a Canadian language services provider, is growing its network of freelance remote interpreters across Canada.

We are currently seeking fluent English or French Interpreters combined with one or more of the languages listed below:

• English ↔ Fijian | Fijian-Hindi | Korean | Hungarian | Spanish | Polish | Turkish | Georgian | ASL
• French ↔ Spanish | Turkish | Ukrainian | Farsi | Punjabi | Vietnamese | Mandarin | ASL

About the Opportunity

As a remote Interpreter, you will provide accurate and professional interpretation during live calls. Calls may cover healthcare, government services, insurance, legal services, social services, finance, business, and other areas.

This is a flexible, freelance independent contractor opportunity that allows you to work remotely from a private and secure location in Canada.

What We're Looking For

• Fluency in English or French plus at least one required target language.
• For ASL assignments, proficiency in ASL and English and/or French.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret accurately while maintaining meaning, tone, and confidentiality.
• Professional, neutral, and composed communication style.
• Ability to work independently in a quiet and secure environment.
• Willingness to complete training and develop industry-specific terminology.
• Previous interpretation experience is an asset, but not required.

Compensation & Flexibility

• 100% remote work.
• Flexible scheduling.
• Independent contractor / freelance arrangement.
• Variable per-minute interpretation rates, based on language combination and assignment (the estimated equivalent is up to approximately 30 CAD/hour, solely for the Indeed salary field, as there is no option to set per-minute rates).
• No minimum hours guaranteed.

Additional Requirement

• Candidates must reside in Canada and will be required to provide a clear Canadian Criminal Record Check as part of the onboarding process.
