Remote- Freelancer Senior ABAP Developer

About the Role

We are looking for an ABAP Developer to provide additional development capacity for a large SAP environment supporting an EU customer.

The engagement is expected to be approximately 15–18 man-days (MDs) during September–December 2026 , with tasks assigned based on the developer’s skills, performance, and the effectiveness of the cooperation model.

The customer already has established DEV, TEST, and PROD environments , and the developer will work as an additional development resource within the existing SAP setup.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain SAP solutions using ABAP
• Analyze requirements and implement technical solutions
• Develop and enhance SAP reports, forms, interfaces, and data models
• Perform testing, debugging, and issue resolution
• Work within the customer's existing DEV → TEST → PROD development process
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with the existing SAP development team
• Participate in meetings and technical catch-ups with the EU team during CET working hours
• Deliver high-quality and maintainable code

• Practical experience with ABAP
• ABAP Objects (ABAP OO)
• SMARTFORMS
• ALV (ABAP List Viewer)
• ABAP Proxy
• CDS (Core Data Services)
• Experience working in structured SAP development environments
• Ability to work independently and deliver tasks reliably
• Fluent English , both written and spoken
• Comfortable communicating directly with EU-based clients and development teams

Experience

• Senior ABAP Developer or above
• Previous experience working with large SAP environments is an advantage
• Experience working with international or EU-based teams is a plus

Engagement Details

• Estimated workload: 15–18 MDs
• Salary: 600-900k/MD (4 hours/day)
• Period: September–December 2026
• Engagement model: Flexible / part-time
• Environment: Customer's SAP DEV, TEST, and PROD environments
• Working hours: Flexible, with availability to join meetings and coordinate with the team during CET working hours
• Workload and specific tasks will depend on project needs and the developer's performance.
