Duties

• Develop and maintain relationships with clients and carriers to ensure seamless freight transactions
• Negotiate rates, contracts, and service terms to optimize profitability and customer satisfaction
• Coordinate transportation planning across multiple modes including air freight, ocean freight (NVOCC), and ground logistics
• Utilize transportation management systems (TMS), CRM software, EDI, and AS400 to manage shipments, track data entry, dispatching, and documentation
• Generate leads through proactive outreach and follow-up to expand the client base within the 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) sector
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, FDA regulations, trade compliance standards, and shipping logistics protocols
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries promptly and managing account needs effectively
• Collaborate with carriers to secure capacity, monitor shipments via logistics company systems, and resolve issues swiftly
• Prepare detailed pricing proposals, negotiate freight rates, and manage contracts to maximize revenue opportunities
• Stay informed on industry trends related to supply chain management, transportation sales, and logistics solutions

Experience

• Proven experience in freight brokerage or logistics sales within a transportation management environment
• Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and transportation planning processes
• Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), CRM software (Customer Relationship Management), EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), and AS400 platforms
• Hands-on experience with freight forwarding logistics including air freight, ocean freight (NVOCC), and shipping logistics operations
• Demonstrated ability in B2B sales, negotiation strategies, client relationship management, and inside sales techniques
• Knowledge of international trade regulations, FDA compliance standards, and trade documentation procedures
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and negotiation; ability to build trust-based relationships with clients and carriers
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for data entry, dispatching tasks, pricing calculations, and contract management
