Remote Inside Sales Representative – Home Services

Overview

Decked Out Christmas Lights is hiring an experienced Remote Inside Sales Representative to handle incoming leads, speak with homeowners, qualify prospects, schedule estimates, and follow up with customers throughout the sales process.

This is a true phone-based inside sales position, not simply a receptionist role. We are looking for someone who already knows how to communicate confidently and professionally with customers, build rapport quickly, ask the right questions, overcome basic objections, and move qualified homeowners toward booking an estimate.

Our customers are homeowners throughout Oakland County, Michigan who are interested in professional Christmas light design, installation, in-season service, takedown, and storage.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls from prospective customers in a friendly, professional, confident manner
• Respond quickly to new leads from our website, advertising, Google, social media, and other marketing sources
• Qualify homeowners by gathering property information, service needs, budget expectations, location, and desired installation timing
• Explain our Christmas lighting services clearly and accurately
• Schedule qualified customers for estimates with our outside sales team
• Follow up with leads who have not yet scheduled or made a decision
• Make outbound follow-up calls to warm leads and previous inquiries
• Keep accurate notes and customer information updated in Jobber CRM
• Use CallRail and other company communication tools to manage customer calls and follow-up
• Maintain organized communication between customers, sales representatives, and management
• Handle common customer questions and objections professionally
• Help maximize the number of qualified appointments booked from incoming leads

Qualifications

• Previous experience in inside sales, phone sales, appointment setting, customer service, or call center work
• Home-service sales experience is strongly preferred, including HVAC, roofing, landscaping, remodeling, real estate, pest control, windows, solar, or similar services
• Strong professional phone presence
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
• Comfortable speaking with homeowners throughout the day
• Ability to build rapport and establish trust quickly over the phone
• Confident asking qualifying questions and guiding conversations toward the next step
• Comfortable making outbound follow-up calls
• Organized and able to manage multiple leads at the same time
• Experience using CRM software is preferred
• Reliable internet connection and a quiet professional workspace
• Must be able to work scheduled hours in the Eastern Time Zone

We are looking for someone who is naturally comfortable on the phone, dependable, personable, organized, and sales-minded. If you already have experience converting phone inquiries into appointments and enjoy talking with customers, we want to hear from you.

Compensation: $15–$18 per hour depending on experience, with performance-based bonus opportunities.

Job Type: Remote / Seasonal with potential for additional opportunities based on performance.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
