Remote Live Chat Agen

Role Description This is a part-time remote role for a Live Chat Agent supporting the Juzgado de Policía Local Lo Barnechea in handling inquiries from the public. The Live Chat Agent will respond to questions via online chat platforms, provide clear information about court procedures, schedules, and requirements, and guide users to appropriate resources or departments. Daily tasks include monitoring chat queues, documenting interactions accurately, following established scripts and guidelines, and escalating complex or sensitive cases to designated staff. The agent will maintain confidentiality, adhere to privacy and security standards, and ensure a courteous, neutral, and helpful tone in all communications. The role may also involve updating frequently asked questions, reporting recurring issues, and collaborating with internal teams to improve digital service quality.

Qualifications

• Strong written communication skills in clear, professional en_US; ability to explain procedures and information in a simple, neutral, and respectful manner.
• Customer service skills, including patience, active listening, conflict de-escalation, and a service-oriented approach when dealing with diverse community members.
• Digital literacy and comfort using chat platforms, ticketing or case-management tools, email, and basic office software in a remote work environment.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills to document interactions accurately, follow protocols, and manage multiple chats or tasks efficiently.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, follow institutional policies, and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive or legal-related inquiries.
• Reliable internet connection and a suitable remote work setup that supports stable communication and privacy.
• Prior experience in customer support, public service, legal administration, or call center/chat support is beneficial but not strictly required.
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn about local court procedures, regulations, and community services in Lo Barnechea.
