Remote Logistics Dispatcher (Evening Shift)

EXP Group is a produce distribution and logistics company with operations in New Jersey, New York, and Texas. Our transportation team keeps fresh product moving every day, starting before sunrise.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced dispatcher to build and dispatch the next day's operation every evening. You will route deliveries and pickups, assign Class A and Class B drivers, and make sure everything is set before you sign off. You will also be the designated backup for our lead dispatcher, so we need someone dependable who can step into that role when needed.

This role works 5:00 PM – 2:00 AM Eastern Time

What you'll do

• Route the following day's deliveries and pickups
• Dispatch Class A and Class B drivers and routes for the next day
• Adjust routes and assignments based on equipment, driver availability, and workload
• Make sure the next day's operation is fully routed and dispatched before ending the shift
• Cover the lead dispatcher's responsibilities and schedule during their PTO
• Communicate clearly with drivers, vendors, and the morning dispatcher

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Spanish, spoken and written (required)
• 2+ years of experience in route planning and dispatching, including Class A and/or Class B operations
• Comfortable handling a high volume of calls and working under time pressure
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Schedule flexibility to cover another shift when the lead dispatcher is out
• Reliable high-speed internet, a quiet workspace, and a working phone/headset
• Able to work independently and finish the job before signing off
• Experience in produce, refrigerated, or food distribution

Preferred

• Experience managing multi-stop routes and same-day changes
• Experience with dispatch, routing, or TMS software
