Remote (NY) Clinical Coding Specialist

Remote (NY) Clinical Coding Specialist HealthCare Support is seeking a Remote ( must reside in New York state ) Inpatient Clinical Coding Specialist to join a leading healthcare organization in New York. This is a great opportunity for an experienced inpatient coding, clinical audit, or payment integrity professional to step into a role focused on complex hospital audits, appeals, and coding accuracy.

Compensation: Up to $38.00+ an hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Monday - Friday, regular business hours

Setting: Work from home with quarterly onsite meetings in West New York.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Review inpatient medical records and hospital claims to ensure clinical documentation, coding, and reimbursement are accurate
• Conduct inpatient admission/readmission audits and review complex coding and clinical cases
• Review appeals, identify audit trends, and support financial recovery efforts

Qualifications:

• Must live in New York State
• Inpatient hospital auditing experience
• Must hold at least one of the following: CIC, RHIA, RHIT, CCDS, CCS-H, CCS-P, C-DAM, or NYS RN/LPN license
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS and inpatient coding/reimbursement
