Remote Paraplanner – Birmingham

We are seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join a growing financial planning business. This is a fully remote role supporting a team of Financial Planners, either within a dedicated office structure or a centralised paraplanning function.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality technical support, research, suitability reports, and client recommendations, helping advisers provide an exceptional client experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive suitability reports across pensions, investments, protection, and retirement planning.
• Conduct technical research and analysis to support financial planning recommendations.
• Review and analyse existing client arrangements.
• Liaise with Financial Planners, administrators, and providers to obtain information and progress cases.
• Ensure all recommendations meet regulatory and compliance standards.
• Support advisers with complex client cases and technical queries.
• Maintain accurate client records and documentation.

About You

• Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (Level 4) preferred.
• Previous paraplanning experience within an independent financial advice or wealth management environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments, tax planning, and protection.
• Experience producing suitability reports and conducting research independently.
• Excellent attention to detail and report-writing skills.
• Comfortable working remotely within a collaborative team environment.
• Experience within a pooled paraplanning structure would be advantageous.
