We are a growing construction and building solutions company supporting construction and engineering projects across various sectors.

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Remote Quantity Surveyor to support project costing, quotation preparation, client engagement, and business growth through a remote working arrangement.

Role Overview

Reporting directly to the Director, you will prepare cost estimates and quotations, review project requirements, liaise with clients, and support project acquisition efforts.

Working remotely, you will coordinate with on-site teams to obtain measurements, photographs, drawings, and other information required for accurate costing and proposals. This role combines technical costing expertise with strong communication and customer relationship management skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate quotations, cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and project proposals.
  • Coordinate with on-site teams to obtain and verify site measurements, photographs, videos, and assessment reports.
  • Assess project requirements remotely using construction drawings, specifications, and information provided by clients and site teams.
  • Prepare site layouts, sketches, and drawings for quotation purposes based on verified site information.
  • Review tender requirements and identify missing information or discrepancies before finalising quotations.
  • Liaise with clients through email, calls, and virtual meetings to clarify project requirements and propose suitable solutions.
  • Source and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Follow up on submitted quotations and support contract negotiations.
  • Coordinate with internal and on-site teams to ensure clear project handovers.
  • Maintain organised digital records of costing calculations, quotations, drawings, and project correspondence.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in the construction, building, renovation, or engineering industry.
  • Experience in cost estimation, tendering, and quotation preparation.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications and perform accurate quantity take-offs.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.
  • Comfortable using shared digital documents, video conferencing, and online collaboration tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with clients, suppliers, and on-site teams.
  • Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects remotely.
  • Detail-oriented, customer-focused, and commercially aware.
  • Reliable internet connection and a suitable workspace for remote work.

Preferred

  • Experience in building works, M&E, renovation, or facilities management projects.
  • Experience supporting projects remotely or coordinating with teams across different locations.
