Telehealth School-Based Occupational Therapist – Part-Time

Community Therapy Services is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist to provide school-based telehealth services to K–12 students.

Our primary current need is in Massachusetts. Applicants who are already licensed in Massachusetts will be given priority, although occupational therapists who are willing to obtain Massachusetts licensure are also encouraged to apply.

Candidates who are also willing to obtain licensure in a West Coast time zone state may have opportunities for additional referrals. Opportunities in other states may also become available.

Community Therapy Services has provided telehealth services to students with special needs since 2009. Our therapists work collaboratively with students, families, schools, and multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality occupational therapy services in online education settings.

We have served thousands of students across multiple states, including Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, and Washington.

Qualifications

• Active Occupational Therapy license in at least one state
• 1–2 years of pediatric and/or K–12 school-based experience preferred
• Telehealth or online school experience is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to build rapport with students and families
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and provide recommendations regarding eligibility and services
• Provide occupational therapy services to students with IEPs
• Develop treatment plans, interventions, and educational materials based on student needs
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, school staff, and other professionals
• Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, trainings, and other meetings as requested
• Complete required documentation, including progress reports, treatment plans, billing records, screening results, and other records
• Support students in developing skills that promote participation and success in their educational environment

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting pay: $50 per hour
