Remote Sensing Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Remote Sensing Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space.

This role will focus on developing physics-based algorithms and software solutions that support remote sensing data processing and exploitation efforts. The position will work across image processing pipelines, data analysis, and visualization, contributing to mission-focused technical outcomes in a highly collaborative environment. You will partner closely with hardware developers and project leaders to translate algorithm results into actionable technical insight and clear stakeholder communication.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Create physics-based algorithms for OPIR data processing and exploitation
• Develop software to support image processing pipelines
• Apply data analysis and visualization methods to algorithm results
• Collaborate closely with hardware developers and project leaders
• Prepare technical reports and presentations
• Communicate findings and status updates to stakeholders

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Physics, or Engineering
• Active Secret Clearance
• 5+ years of software development experience on DoW/IC programs
• Proficiency in Python
• Familiarity with systems programming languages, such as C++ or Rust
• Experience in embedded software development
