[Remote] Software Data Engineer

What you’ll do

• Develop, optimize and maintain production-grade backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS and Fastify
• Design and implement ClickHouse analytics architecture: raw data ingestion, core tables, materialized views and aggregations
• Build high-performance GGR, NGR, player metrics, financial reporting and operational analytics
• Build and maintain event-driven data pipelines using Redpanda (Kafka), Debezium, CDC and ClickPipes
• Develop reliable integrations between PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, backend microservices and APIs
• Own complex backend features involving wallets, payments, transactions, bonuses and financial calculations
• Ensure data accuracy, idempotency, consistency, reconciliation and fault tolerance
• Optimize database queries, ingestion performance and large-scale analytical workloads
• Develop REST APIs, WebSockets and OpenAPI/Swagger contracts
• Implement automated tests, monitoring, CI/CD and production-grade security controls

What we’re looking for

• 6+ years of backend engineering experience, with strong Node.js and TypeScript expertise
• 3+ years of hands-on data engineering experience, preferably with ClickHouse
• Advanced PostgreSQL skills: SQL optimization, database design and financial data modeling
• Strong practical experience with ClickHouse: materialized views, MergeTree engines, partitioning and query optimization
• Experience with Kafka/Redpanda, Debezium, CDC and event-driven architectures
• Proficiency with NestJS, Fastify, Prisma and/or TypeORM
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices, CQRS, SOLID principles and clean architecture
• Experience implementing idempotent financial transactions, double-entry accounting or complex financial calculations
• Familiar with Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions and cloud infrastructure
• Able to independently own complex features from architecture through implementation, testing and deployment

• Previous experience in fintech or payment processing
• Experience with Apache Superset, Apache Airflow, Redis and real-time analytics
