Remote Support Professional (RSP)

About the Role

BLESS LLC is seeking dependable, attentive, and professional Remote Support Professionals (RSPs) to join our Remote Support Services team at our Remote Support Hub in Marion, Ohio.

BLESS serves individuals with developmental disabilities, each with their own abilities, communication styles, preferences, level of independence, and individualized support needs. Remote Supports helps make that possible.

RSPs work on-site from our Remote Support Hub and use technology and multiple software platforms to remotely support individuals according to their Individual Service Plan (ISP), established response protocols, and BLESS procedures.

The Hub is designed to provide staff with a comfortable, professional environment for around-the-clock Remote Support operations. While technology is an important part of the position, this job is ultimately about people. RSPs must understand when to assist, when to escalate, and when to respect an individual's independence.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Remote Support Services to individuals with developmental disabilities from the BLESS Remote Support Hub.
• Monitor and support individuals according to their ISP and established response protocols.
• Learn the individualized needs, preferences, communication styles, and established supports of the people assigned to you.
• Navigate, monitor, and appropriately respond through all software platforms used to provide Remote Support Services.
• Respond appropriately to alerts, notifications, calls, requests for assistance, and other Remote Support events.
• Communicate respectfully and professionally with individuals through approved technology, including two-way video communication when applicable.
• Maintain a professional appearance and environment during two-way video interactions.
• Contact designated backup supports or emergency services when required by established response protocols.
• Complete accurate, thorough, and timely electronic documentation of services, responses, and significant events.
• Collaborate with fellow RSPs to maintain continuity of care, including effective communication during shift transitions.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect the privacy, dignity, rights, and confidential information of every individual served.
• Promptly report technology, software, equipment, or connectivity concerns through established BLESS procedures.
• Remain attentive, available, and prepared to respond throughout the assigned shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of required Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) 8-hour training modules.
• Ability to successfully complete required BLESS Remote Support and individual-specific training.
• Basic computer and technology proficiency.
• Ability to learn and navigate multiple Remote Support software platforms.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interact respectfully and professionally with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Ability to accurately complete electronic documentation.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.
• Ability to follow individual-specific ISPs, response protocols, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to remain attentive throughout an assigned shift.
• Availability to work mandatory rotating weekends.
• Must meet applicable employment and provider requirements for the position.

Your responsibility is to learn the individuals you support, follow their established plans and protocols, communicate effectively with your team, and provide the right level of support at the right time.
