Remote Telefundraiser (Work From Home)

About the role

Fundamental Worldwide is seeking enthusiastic and persuasive Remote Telefundraisers to join our dynamic team on a casual basis. This is a work-from-home opportunity, so you can be based anywhere in NZ, offering flexibility and the chance to make a real impact from the comfort of your own home.

As a Remote Telefundraiser, you will be the voice of our organisation, connecting with supporters and donors over the phone to secure vital funding for our causes. This role is pivotal in helping us reach our fundraising targets and building meaningful relationships with our donor base. You'll work independently from home whilst being part of a supportive team that values your contributions.

What you'll be doing

• Making outbound calls to potential donors and existing supporters to secure ongoing donations and pledges
• Following a structured script whilst adapting your approach to engage & inspire supporters
• Building rapport with donors and clearly communicating the impact of their contributions
• Recording accurate information about calls, donations and donor interactions in our CRM
• Meeting daily and weekly call targets and fundraising goals
• Handling objections professionally and positively, converting hesitation into commitment
• Providing excellent customer service and representing Fundamental Worldwide's values with integrity
• Collaborating with team members to share best practices and support one another in achieving targets

What we're looking for

• Excellent communication skills with a warm, friendly and persuasive telephone manner
• Previous experience in customer service, sales, fundraising or a similar role involving outbound calling
• The ability to work independently and stay motivated whilst meeting performance targets
• Strong listening skills and genuine empathy for charity and the causes they support
• Resilience and a positive attitude, with the ability to handle rejection
• Proficiency with computers and experience using database systems or CRM platforms
• A reliable internet connection and suitable home workspace to work from
• Availability to work flexible hours Monday - Friday
