Remote US - Construction Estimator | Project Engineer

PolyTrades (USA) is hiring a FULL-TIME remote Estimator / Project Engineer for a US construction company.

You'll do quantity takeoffs and build bids for US commercial projects, mostly tenant improvements (TI) and remodels for retail and restaurant brands. We bid at high volume, so accuracy and speed both matter. As the role grows, you'll also support awarded projects on RFIs, submittals, and change orders.

Pay (USD, paid via Wise):

• $600–1,500/month, based on experience and your test result
• Compensation review every 3–6 months

Hours:

• Full-time, 40+ hours/week
• Must cover US Pacific (PST) business hours

The work:

• Quantity takeoffs from US construction drawings and specs, across trades (electrical, mechanical, plumbing, drywall, framing, finishes, and more)
• Price material and labor to build complete, accurate bids
• Review scope, flag exclusions and gaps, and write clarifications
• Track bid invitations and deadlines, and submit on time
• Support awarded jobs: RFIs, submittals, change order pricing, schedules, and coordination with GCs
• Log every bid accurately in our CRM (Salesmate) and in our estimating platform

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2+ years of estimating or project engineering on US commercial construction projects
• Able to read US architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
• Hands-on with takeoff software: Bluebeam, PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar
• Strong Excel skills
• Clear written English for RFIs and GC emails
• Must have: laptop, dual monitors (strongly preferred), stable internet, quiet workspace
• A civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering degree is a plus. Philippines / Pakistan / India / Egypt / Kenya and similar welcome.
